Relax. Mellow out to three hours of mostly wordless electronica. We’re shooting for inner tranquility here with the help of holistic, low-pulse music and some psychedelic conversation with friends. Think an irreverent version of Hearts of Space or doing your yoga under a hookah-smoking caterpillar.
In the early 80’s I did as little as possible, including KOPN’s Program Guide, and who the heck cares about that anymore. I jammed on air and did occasional substitution gigs for DJ’s, including Ed Herrmann’s Ionization program, where I was allowed to play unrelated tracks on top of each other without being thrown out of the studio. Then came the Convergence Conspiracy Collective art project, which exploded, but not before it infected upwards of ten people with the possibility of group improvisation.
