Farm and Fiddle airs on KOPN Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. with hosts Margot McMillen and Jenny Czyzewski. This is the program that explores and celebrates life on the farm and small towns in mid-Missouri with guests from our rural area and all over the world. Every week, we feature agriculture news, a "Barnyard Baffler" so our farm - and town - friends can test their knowledge, and a "Chore of the Week" to help everyone keep up with the never-ending variety of work around the place. During our breaks, we play lots of Missouri fiddling from legendary fiddlers, including those of today.
Off-air we are neighbors living with our families on farms in Callaway County.
Margot is a writer who teaches part-time at Westminster College and writes a twice-monthly column for the Progressive Populist. She raises cattle and sheep.
Jenny is a new mom and a potter with a special interest in native American pottery techniques. She is also a beginning farmer, specializing in poultry and raising fruits and vegetables for the farmers' market.
Both Margot and Jenny work on sustainable farming and local food system issues with policy makers at the local, state and national levels.
So tune in! And get connected with your local farmers! Your most direct path is by joining a food circle like ours:
