  • KOPN Annual Meeting
  • The KOPN annual meeting will be held on Sunday, January 15th from 4-6pm, at the Unity Center, 1600 W. Broadway in Columbia. All KOPN listeners, volunteers, and supporters are welcome to attend. KOPN members are eligible to vote for new Board members. Ballots should be returned to the station by Friday, January 13th, or brought to the meeting on the 15th. Please arrive a little before 4pm with your potluck contribution as follows: Last names beginning with A-D: Beverage E-J: Main Dish K-N: Salad or Vegetable O-S: Dessert

  • In observation of Roe V. Wade Day, Jan. 22, Chautauqua will be airing a program, next Thursday, Jan 26, 6:00 PM CT, with Merle Hoffmann, a champion of reproductive freedom, an activist for women’s rights and a woman ahead of her time. Merle Hoffman has a new book we'll be discussing: Intimate Wars: The Life and Times of the Woman Who Brought Abortion from the Back Alley to the Boardroom. The book takes a close look both at the key moments in the pro-choice movement over the past four decades as well as the pivotal role that Hoffman has played.
